Connect to SAP BW with single-sign-on via on-premise gateway
Large SAP BW installations with thousands of users are often accessed via single-sign-on (SSO) e.g. the users windows credentials are used to authenticate to BW. SSO simplifies the user experience and reduces user administration costs. These users should be able to setup on-premise gateway connections that can be used to refresh data sets in the Power BI Service. The connections should leverage that individuals BW roles & authorizations and not require a BW password i.e. automatically associate the Power BI user ID to the associated SAP user ID.

Live data in ECC
RE: Connect to SAP BW with SSO
I would like to have a connector to populate dashboards directly from SAP BusinessObjects universe.
RE: Connect to SAP BW with SSO
The Power Query Connector in MS Excel supports the use of SAP BusinessObjects unx universes as a datasource.
It's possible to use dimensions, attributes and measures from the universe but it's not possible to utilise predefined filters built into the universe. This removes the ability for the Power Query end user to take advantage of SAP BusinessObjects functionality such as Index Awareness.
Predefined query filters are available through the SAP BusinessObjects RESTFul API, having the ability to utilise these would bring about both performance gains and improved ease of use for the Power Query end user.
