Imagine a world where report creators can automatically apply slicer and filter selections based on specific logic, revolutionizing data analysis and user experience. This innovative approach eliminates any need for complex workarounds, optimizes slicer functionality, and paves the way for more efficient and effective data reporting.

RE: Epic idea: Apply filter selections automatically
why to rely on chiclet slicer for this functionality. Please implement.
RE: Epic idea: Apply filter selections automatically
It would be very nice to have the possibility to set default values to the slicer by using fields and / or DAX formula
For example, I've 10 years of data in my database, but at the default report view I only want to display the last 180 days. The user should be able to select another (longer) time range by himself.
Also, I would like to have the possibility to set a default value of a normal selection list by a field. I've a single selection slicer which values are depending of the user role and I always want to select the first value by default

Hello Team,
It would be a great thing to be able to default values using a slicer. If I have a set of years, I would like to be able to have "2017" as default value automatically, meaning that every time you have a new calendar year, Power BI Slicer will default to the new year.
Cheers,
YUKOS
