    Essbase is used by most of the Fortune 500 companies, particularly in the Finance area. Tableau has this functionality, Power BI needs it as well.

    If Microsoft wants to compete with Tableau - get an Essbase connector. Essential to be considered an enterprise tool.

    Reporting Services actually has this as a native connector.

    Because of Essbase connector we are using Tableau....
