RE: Accessing multiple datasets in single report
it's a must have to report management kpi's in one report from multiple source.
Today it's possible in Excel, but it would be so efficient to have it in Power BI Service.
RE: Accessing multiple datasets in single report
Seems to me that unless we can do this, the concept of shared datasets is pointless. I can not use a shared dataset and combine with other data in any way.
RE: Accessing multiple datasets in single report
I do not understand why such a significant feature is not available yet. If you just consider that the data load would decrease so much due to usage of just on central point of truth for each data source.
RE: Accessing multiple datasets in single report
Many times we have to break our models into multiple datasets for re-usability and to overcome size limitations of combining all data in 1 dataset. There are also many use cases where we would have to compose multiple datasets into 1 PBI report.
This is a must have!

the best idea ever

We need this asap!!!
RE: Accessing multiple datasets in single report
A Must Have... someone knows if there is already an opinion from Product owner about this?
RE: Accessing multiple datasets in single report
Why? It's not very logic users can't use more than a single dataset in one report. If users have several dataset published at Power BI Service, users should have the chance to combine them to produce new knowledge, without duplicating over and over again the data. Users could make relationships from Power BI Desktop, and they would be responsible of doing that in the right way.
Dashboards are not he solution, because users could need to have multiple pages, need to publish to the web, or simply the need of build their reports in the Desktop environment.
Please allow users to make reports from multiple PowerBI Service datasets.
