My data read from a folder. Everyday I will put in a new file into the folder and when click refresh it will refresh all file in the folder which is time consuming. Can we have an option to "refresh only new file".
The process of "refresh only new data" will be:
1) Any last modified file: based on modified date and changed name (so that it wont confuse as new file)
2) Any newly included file

PLEASE MICROSOFT PUT THIS BASIC FUNCTIONALITY IN PBI DESKTOP. THIS SHOULD BE A BASIC FUNCTION AS MOST PEOPLE WHO USE THIS HAVE NEW UPDATED FILE EVERYDAY (OR WORST EVERY MINUTE) AND THE ACCUMULATION OFTHOSE FILE MAKE IT HARD AND SLOW FOR PBI DESKTOP TO LOAD AS IT REFRESHES ALL DATA INSIDE THE SOURCE FOLDERR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MY NEWLY ESTABLISHED COMPANY WHO HAVE GONE DOING LAST ROUND OF INVESTMENTS IS KEEN ON POWERBI TO BE INTRODUCED ON THEIR OTHER COMPANIES (CANNOT DIVULGE HERE THE INFORMATION) BUT WHEN THEY SAW THIS DURING MY PRESENTATION THEY KNEW THAT IN THE LONG RUN IT WILL BE A PROBLEM ESPECIALLY FOR MANY AND HUGE DATA SETS

I have 25 Gigs in Data Lake Store and powerbi consuming the files, everytime that i make a refresh takes 40 minutes, i think this is a must.

As much as I would like to link my PowerBi to an online or SQL data source, I can't. So I have to rely on downloading the data to Excel Files first. With every additional week the refresh takes longer and longer. Please, Microsoft, include this in the features!
