In late 2016, Power BI improved our export data options to allow exporting up to 150,000 rows to Excel from a visual on a Power BI dashboard for Pro users. If you require higher limits, please vote on this idea. If you have more specific requirements, please leave them in the comments.

CSV export should be unlimited by anything except remaining disk space on storage device selected for export.

The limit needs to be removed on both Excel and especially CSV. Although there are workarounds (like the paginated report or Analyze in Excel), the limitation is arbitrary and should either be removed, or make it an admin setting that can be controlled by the organization.

Was wondering if there were updates on this? But I noticed that this does not seem to be showing in the Power BI Ideas list...
The business is reporting trouble with exporting data with the 150,000 rows - particularly even after filtering etc - the data is just over the limit - it is very frustrating

As per all the comments below. Microsoft please sort this issue. It is a massive bottleneck and limitation of power bi.

This is such a massive bottleneck for Powerbi. I can't believe the dev team hasn't been able to figure out to allow more than 150k export by now.

this limit is ridiculous and creates a lot of non-value added work. Please increase ASAP.

Are there any plans to increase data export limit this year? Tableau doesn't have any export limitations, so it's very unfortunate to have this bottleneck in PowerBi. If performance impacts are the issue, then there should be an option for the developers to chose and adjust the data export functionality.

Tableau has no limitation on row export. Please remove the export limit of 150,000.

Please change/remove the rowlimit on exports from Power BI reports to csv -> unlimited and excel -> 1,048,576 (maybe -1 for the headers). End users need to be able to perform their own analysis / checks (for example in Excel) on the source data.
