In late 2016, Power BI improved our export data options to allow exporting up to 150,000 rows to Excel from a visual on a Power BI dashboard for Pro users. If you require higher limits, please vote on this idea. If you have more specific requirements, please leave them in the comments.

RE: Increase Export Data Limits
To be honest, 500K rows are not enough either. Could you consider to increase the limits to at least 1M rows? It could be an excel solution. I know there is a Beta 365 solution to connect and insert table from PBI to excel. But I tried several times, and only got up to 500K rows. Thank you!
RE: Increase Export Data Limits
Would like to have these limits increased. For Enterprise companies the limit of 150k of devices or users is low. Add the moment we still need to use Tableau because off this limitation. If possible only modify it first for the Power bi on prem reporting server. These should have enough resources to export more records.
RE: Increase Export Data Limits
Export to Excel is current 150000 max. Pleaseincrease to max of Excel. In the operation we have now to export in badges, then combine then again in Excel. Extra work. Not needed.
RE: Increase Export Data Limits
When a colleague told me about this limitation, I thought they must be mistaken. How can a modern reporting tool have such a limitation? I can't see how it could be a technical limitation, but I also can't understand why MS would decide to hamstring PBI in this way.
RE: Increase Export Data Limits
I don't believe this is completed.Excel connections to PowerBI is a nice feature but it's not the same thing as increasing export limits.Firstly, the "Completed" solution requires uses to have "Build" rights for starters.Secondly, it's only available for "Summarized" data. That's of no use for exporting "underlying" data. From what I can tell the issue remains open and desired by many users. Please increase the underlying data export limit. Frankly, I don't see why Excel-export can't be 1M rows and CSV-export should be limitless.
RE: Increase Export Data Limits
Please remove this limitation. We have many use cases where we want to allow the download of fairly large datasets. Not all of them are possible with the workarounds that are available right now. Please remove this limitation urgently.
RE: Increase Export Data Limits
Others have said it best: this is a crippling limitation that defies explanation. In 2022, in the world of big data, where our not-even-big-data data sets are 10M+ records...we can export 150,000 rows.Competitor products are only limited by the space on your hard drive and the amount of time you're willing to wait - as it should be.
RE: Increase Export Data Limits
I have a current version of Power BI Pro and am using Desktop for doing data cleanup & transformations for data migration of an ERP system. Why can I only export 30K rows from a visual?
RE: Increase Export Data Limits
This is a crippling limitation to an otherwise powerful tool. Downstream customers of reports frequently want to export data into Excel for on the spot analysis not anticipated in the published report. Simply put, this limitation makes this product uncompetitive with respect to other market leading software. Requests to increase export caps have been out there since launch of Power BI. It is hard to understand why this has not been addressed.
RE: Increase Export Data Limits
CSV export should be unlimited by anything except remaining disk space on storage device selected for export.
