In Analysis Services we can upload translations, however Power BI is not able to switch the language. This can be a show-stopper for a multi-lingual company, so please add this

This feature was in the Q3 CY18 roadmap :

...Not in the current roadmap anymore

The option to translate against a table rather than just doing a language-to-language translation is necessary. So as to allow for abbreviations in column names

How do you expect to sell Power BI at this price without covering the most fundamental features like this one here? I really do not understand the priorities at MS, it seems as there is a bit of this and then a bit of that, no strucutre and no completion behind. It is just a shame.

Same old story: microsoft has many products that dont work together!
SSAS tabular has multi language support but it cannot be used in power BI. Ridiculous interface does not allow me to put in the locale ID.
Hey customer: you can build 200 multi language reports in Cognos or you can build 400 in Power BI (for 2 languages)
Sorry customer stay with excel, it works there. Oh Cognos also supports Excel no reason to convert to MS BI then...
