    yes this needs to be over SSL too and support direct queries otherwise we won't use it!

    Please add direct query too, otherwise the Enterprise gateway will have to run on a schedule to sync the data. Direct query is something most BI Visualization tools have out of the box, it's strange PowerBI doesn't.

    I can connect to RDS SQL Server by using SQL Server option and Direct Query. However a pro license is required when you "publish to web" from the desktop version.

    this is key features to use PowerBI on top of AWS RDS.
