Whenever I see an aggregated metric (e.g., $483,572 in sales) - in, say, a column in a chart or a cell in a matrix - I should be able not only to drill down to a next level of detail, but to "drill to details" - all the way down to the individual rows of data (e.g., the individual sales orders) that make up that value.

Thanks for all the feedback. We just released the April version of Power BI desktop, including new drill functionality. You can drill into a particular column in a chart and see the records behind that part of the visual. For more info on this feature and other features in our latest release, check out this blog post: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-april-update-feature-summary/

RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
Not complete - please reopen
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
Please re-open this. You need to mimic the "Show Details" functionality that Excel provides when connected to for example Analysis Services. It shows the lowest granularity of data that makes up that measure.
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
This NOT complete until you can drill to the DETAILS! I don't understand how this is not the highest priority FIX. I waste more time telling people there is NO WAY to drill to the details....what a joke
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
we also need to get this row level data.
In our case, this ID'S data sits on the SSAS cube but we do not want to expose it to the user since it causing crashes.
we only wish to see it in case of drilling down to the row level data.
can you update us when this will be available?
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
We are summarizing raw data into summary table and creating visuals on summary table. Need a way to drill from summarized data to raw data, but currently not possible. This is very critical feature
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
Yep, definitely not complete. I wish MS would read the details before marking these complete.
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
There should be no limit to the levels of drill down once you drill (1st action) out of the Power BI Top Layer into the tabular layer. From that tabular (which may in itself be aggregates, one should be able to drill down again, and again until you reach the lowest grain. Can this be done in the new version? If so How?

I agree that this feature is not complete, especially given that you can't use See Records with measures. Given that it doesn't appear that Completed ideas are given any further consideration, please go here and add your votes so it'll get back on their priority list.

RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
Cool.
But, is there a feature to see the records deeper behind-behind the visual. For example the data behind that creates the visual. Not the visual and a number. Tableau use this concept where I can drill down to records; exports them and use it in another analysis.
RE: Drill to details (view row-level data)
Hi Friends,
I have a dashboard with differentes KPIs and we are using differentes customs visuals, but we need know how to use drilldown from each kpi to each report and from this report we need to do a return to dashboard, if we using the option pin only it works a one report.
Could help us if Power BI can to work with this funcionability.
Thanks,
