The current drill through capability does not appear to consider an active filter/slicer value for a visual unless the dimension being filtered is included in the parent visual. I think it would be helpful if it did.
For example; a table of customers subject to a slicer for specific stores should pass on both the customer and store values if these dimensions are both listed as drill through filters.

As of the May 2018 release of Power BI Desktop you can now define your drillthrough to 'Keep all filters' which will apply the selections from slicers and other visuals to the target page as well. https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-may-2018-feature-summary/#measureDrillthrough

RE: Drill through that considers slicer/filter context of a parent visual
The current implementation of drillthrough is very incomplete i.e. IMHO basically broken/not usable. It should not have been released in it's current state because it makes it very easy for users to be misled / see the wrong data.
Slicer selections from the summary page don't seem to be carried through to the details page. So you can either use slicers or drillthrough. But not both together in a report. Because if you use both together, the drill through doesn't show you what you intuitively expect to see. Or worse still the user does not realise the slicer selections are missing and so gets a completely different/wrong/misleading set of values.
RE: Drill through that considers slicer/filter context of a parent visual
A must have feature.
Power BI users after having filters applied before applying drill through do not understand that the previous filters are now unselected.
Bottom line we need to make end user experience a positive one, so this is absolutely required, otherwise the feature itself is useless.

This is a must have.

Reposting this seems to be the same idea as:

This functionality is really important for Drillthrough to be truly powerful/useful. To add to some points/ideas above and in comments:
If a user has selected slicer filters, page level filters, or visual filters (eg. bar in a chart), the context being applied to show the "filtered data" should all pass through to the page being drilled into.
One example would be any drillthrough filters on the target page should be applied/passed through.

Please add the ability to "pass through" multiple filters via a drill through. Otherwise, it's borderline useless!!!
RE: Drill through that considers slicer/filter context of a parent visual
I consider this to be a bug. Why would you want to drill from an element in a visualisation that itself has been subject to selectors and other user filtering actions say from drop down selectors and or other visualisations to a drill down page that does not represent the item you have just drilled from
RE: Drill through that considers slicer/filter context of a parent visual
I was just coming here to log this idea. As an example:
Assume I run a school.
Assume I have a "Class Details" report with 2 drill thru filters: year & Teacher
Assume I have a "School Details" with a date filter at the top and a list of teachers & counts of students.
The current behavior is observed:
1) I select a year at the top of the "School Details" report
2) "School Details" filters to show only those teachers during that school year.
3) I right-click on a teacher's name and select DrillThru to the "Class Details" page
4) "Class Details" page loads with a filter only on teacher - but NOT on year. This then displays every student who has had this teacher regardless of year.
What is desired:
Any filters that have been applied on the source page that have "drill thru options" set up on the drill thru page should be passed to the drill thru page.
