We have an saas based electronic billing application used by over 800 companies. We place report data files out on SFTP sites for each client. Is it possible to access data files on SFTP sites from Power BI?

Not even a response yet, although there are many people in need. Please PowerBi team, consider to work on this, we also need it.

Althought the idea is dated from 2015, it is still viable. An SFTP connector would be such an improvement

I am not sure why SFTP is not implemented as a connector. Everyone uses it. All the major tools can connect, then why not Power BI.
