Provide option to remove the focus mode border. This has the effect of messing up the experience of the report in most cases. If I want to allow focus mode on a detailed chart, then I can enable it. But in most cases it is extra UI baggage

We provided the ability to turn off the visual header box in the March 2018 release! This will hide the focus mode icon across your visuals. https://powerbi.microsoft.com/es-es/blog/power-bi-desktop-march-2018-feature-summary/#visualHeader

RE: Optionally remove focus mode box
I agree with all of the above... please let us remove the border.
RE: Optionally remove focus mode box
Plus one for this feature. Actually, it would be nice also to put an option to remove the "Pin visual" and "Export Data"
RE: Optionally remove focus mode box
On complex dashboards this is a real problem. Our users are completely distracted by the borders which is limiting engagement with the dashboard content.
RE: Optionally remove focus mode box
They really need to get a move on with this basic feature. It can't be that hard - surely?
RE: Optionally remove focus mode box
This is a fundamental issue that really needs to be fixed. When using filter boxes or similar it completely destroys the experience. I don't see why anyone would need to see this unless they are designing the report themselves. Please bump this up the list.
RE: Optionally remove focus mode box
Please move this up on the priority list! It distracts from the user experience.
RE: Optionally remove focus mode box
Please get started on this! It would improve the look and feel of the reports so much and make the tool look really professional.
RE: Optionally remove focus mode box
I had tons of ideas for developing few reports but had to go with simple ones.
For better visualization I had to use lots of elements but their boxes were messing up everything.
This is severely limiting PowerBI according to me. We can do so much to make the dashboard visually appealing, but due to this limitation we cant create such reports.
