Thanks for your feedback - at this time, we're not planning to add this capability to Power BI Report Server. We understand this will be disappointing to many of you who've voted and provided feedback, and this wasn't a decision made lightly. And of course, you'll continue to see investments in these capabilities in the Power BI service going forward.

ESRI ArcGIS maps (with ArcGIS Enterprise) in Power BI Report Server is important for government agencies.
It would be great if Microsoft/ESRI could put in into the road map and inform the community.

Same as others, as a regulated financial services provider, we're keeping protected data on-prem using PBIRS. Lack of ArcGIS is our biggest disappointment in this product. Maybe an intentional tactic to get some clients to make the switch to Power BI Service--which I'd love to do but unfortunately cannot. Disheartened.

This month (March 2020) version of PowerBI Desktop now supports ArcGIS Enterprise connection type, so it should work offline right?
If Power BI Desktop now supports ESRI ArcGIS when offline, Power BI Report Server and Power BI Desktop optimized for RS which is made for offline customers should be upgraded to support it also.

I can't tell you how important this one is. In government agencies that can't/won't afford to pay for a premium server to host data we lose out on an excellent analytical tool here. the only reason that it's not in the desktop tool for report server is a pay barrier.

My company (a Native American tribe) has data that CANNOT and WILL NEVER be served through any cloud service due to Tribal Sovereignty and sensitive data requirements, so for broad dissemination of Power BI reports we use a Report Server (actually two of them). Microsoft's omission of ArcGIS support through PBIRS significantly de-enhances our ability to provide clients with statistical visualizations they have requested to analyze and provide better services to tribal members. I would hope Microsoft reconsiders this position, as we cannot be their only customer who has these types of data restrictions.

Hi guys
Bing maps don't work for any detailed type geo-spacial reporting, hence the request for something better (ie. ARCGIS). if no support is provided for ARCGIS maps are there any other
map components that one can use in the meantime.
