If it is possible please provide the multiple columns sort . For example I want to sort the table visualization based on Priority and severity

This has been implemented for tables as of March 2020:

We're well aware, however, that more can be done to improve its discoverability--as well as to extend support for the feature to other visuals (like the matrix). Keep an eye out for future developments!

as requested earlier, this should also be a feature for multi-column sorting for matrix visual.

Not to mention that we should have the flexibility to select the sort order of each column as ascending or decending order.

Now that you've done this for tables, do this for matrices as well, it's unbelievable you've sorted one and not the other

This is a basic Pivot Table function, please add to PowerBI without having to create special counting columns

Hierarchical sorting mechanism needed in visuals ...
Work around is add a numeric column to dummy up the sort. ie 3 tier sort the column would be nnn format where each position relates to each tier. Also need a way to hide this special sorting column

This should be a standard feature.

Yep we need this. Sorting in Power Query editor isn't the best either, not when the table visual contains fields from multiple tables. Unless I have to restructure my things and merge queries in Power Query, JUST to sort by date, then a column, then another column...
