Thank you for adding the linear trend line, however Power BI would be much more powerful with additional trend line functionality. We would love to see advanced options such as polynomial, exponential and logarithmic trend lines.
Essentially the trend line functionality from excel would be perfect

RE: Advanced trend lines in charts (polynomial, exponential,...)
How is this not a thing yet? Need this yesterday.
RE: Advanced trend lines in charts (polynomial, exponential,...)
Would like to see drag and drop option for the following types of trendline in charts, especially the scatter chart: Linear, Log, Exponential, Power, PolynomialCannot use the existing trendline available in scatter chart when bubble size is determined by another field (for example, Count of X)

709 votes. How many more do they need to add this functionality?Anyone found a workaround for a polynomial curve?
RE: Advanced trend lines in charts (polynomial, exponential,...)
It is one of the basic features to have a polynomial, exponential and logarithmic trend lines. Even looker studio provides it free. Hope Microsoft will include it asap.

In addition I would like to see the LINEST function implemented in DAX, compatible with the version in Excel. This would enable me to calculate the best fit coefficients for a straight line (liner regression) or a curve (e.g. 2nd and 3rd order polynomial regression). The coefficients could then be used with other data in Power BI to calculate the correlated, expected or predicted value.

Hope 645 will catch your attention
RE: Advanced trend lines in charts (polynomial, exponential,...)
How can Excel and most other BI tools have this ability but Power BI is too advanced for this feature? Honestly get it together!
RE: Advanced trend lines in charts (polynomial, exponential,...)
How many votes does this need. Clearly a required feature which needs to be implemented. Currently users are extracting data to Excel to add polynomial trending lines which is taking a lot of manual time but also damaging the users views and perceptions of Power BI.

+1
RE: Advanced trend lines in charts (polynomial, exponential,...)
trend lines
exponential, polynomial
logarithmic
with the obligatory indication of the formula and standard deviation
all this is in Excel
All this is very necessary for analytics, real estate valuation, statistics, for scatter charts with x and y.
It is in Excel
It is even in google tables.
This is not only in power bi!
