Filled maps need to be able to display labels with the actual values on the map. It's nice to see the color coding, but unless I can see some numbers as well it's really super hard-to-use. I'm practically not using the maps just because of this.

Maps have little value without proper labels, especially in the context of data visualization where the audience should absorb essential information at a glance. Please add this feature.

As companies continue to expand global capabilities, having the ability to see a data label on a map provides the users of the reports the ability to see the detail they may need. As another user pointed out, Tableau provides this capability already.

This is needed for a custom map filled map too. Its already available in tableau

PLEASE PLEASE add this to Power BI. I agree with others, Tableau's mapping is so much easier. I have issues with counties populating as well. Maps need so many improvements and are very important to my job! Thanks for considering!

Unfortunately, it is reasons like this that Tableau just whips Power BI when it comes to maps. I would really prefer to do all my work in Power BI, but when it comes to maps, it is just an inferior product.

I really need this ability. Data labels is a must for a filled map.

We never use a filled map without data labels. Agree they lack value otherwise.
