When placing a visual on the screen, there is no way to get it to fill the entire space of the container that it is in, there is always white space around it. Being able to either fill that white space, or enter a negative X/Y value to align it to the top of the report page would be a useful. Examples of this would be placement of a logo on the report by getting it closer to the top/edge of a report page.

RE: All visuals have unusable/wasted white space
Cannot believe that such a simple thing is still not fixed in 2024.
RE: All visuals have unusable/wasted white space
In Excel you have some control over white space. I have a stacked bar chart and the amount of white space on either side is terrible. There is so much wasted space for a simple visual.
RE: All visuals have unusable/wasted white space
i literally can't deal; i like having phat, chonky bars so they're easy to read and wide enough to accommodate datalabels but i end up having to make the chart area the size of half the canvas (and then I can only position it in the middle of the canvas because the empty space overlaps the margin) OR creating separate bar graphs for each series which is RIDICULOUS but the only work around. It's maddening.

And looking at mobile layout there is an inability to place visuals on any boundary of the display surface - still looks terrible in 2022 (Feb) with white space (canvas) reserved for something, just not for user visuals.
RE: All visuals have unusable/wasted white space
Just stunned that this does not have more votes and MS has not done anything to address it in the first place.
RE: All visuals have unusable/wasted white space
Does Microsoft respond to these comments? As another person has already said this would “appear” to be a simple fix but here for 3 years now.
RE: All visuals have unusable/wasted white space
When embedding the reports this is also an issue, so much whitespace and margins everywhere. Needs to stop!
RE: All visuals have unusable/wasted white space
May have been just coincedence but i think ive managed a work around. When viewing your dashboard, if you click on the tile you wish to see it will expand to a full view and not leave any white spaces around it. Whilst it is in this view, pin to live page. Go back to your dashboard, delete the original tile that was showing lots of white space and squashing your visual, then move the new visualed tile to where you want and it won't have the hideous white borders. It worked for me.
RE: All visuals have unusable/wasted white space
Wow, I can't believe this has been an "idea" for so long and yet there has not been a solution yet. How disappointing! I am getting so frustrated with these cluster bar charts. To have them wide enough to read the data I have to take up the whole page, but I need multiple reports on one page!?!

Given Power BI is a visualisation tool, this is basic functionality that should exist. Please provide this capability.
