Ability to select/click a row on the table or chart and be able to contextually go to another report , with appropriate filters. This is only useful when we are able to hide the pages in the report and they appear only when something is(row or cell) selected on a table or similar chart.

I'm pleased to say that the September release of Power BI Desktop includes the capability to drill between report pages. More details in the blog post here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-september-2017-feature-summary/ There are a couple of related ideas that you can vote on if you'd find them useful: Drill into an SSRS report: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/6740219-ssrs-reports-for-drill-down-into-detailed-reports Drill to a transaction details page: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200/suggestions/13662768 Thanks for your support and votes!

RE: Drill to a report page
The requirement from my point of view at least is fairly simple. When a user clicks on a dashboard widget and gets taken to the underlying report, I would like the filters in the dashboard widget automatically passed through to my report.
E.g.
I have a dashboard widget showing revenue filtered for my particular Department, when I click through to the underlying report, I would like that filter for my department retained. That may be at the visual, page or report level, however I set the filter up when I pinned the dashboard widget.
RE: Drill to a report page
I work in a PMO for a large IT organisation. Our project manager-focussed Power BI dashboard currently shows a list of the project manager's projects on the first report (a table of their projects), with a second report showing the detail for a single project (eg. monthly financial figures). At the moment the project manager has to filter the second report down to a single project manually. It would be much more user friendly if they could select a project from the first report and it would filter the project in the second report (eg. by applying a filter to it), effectively drilling down from their portfolio view into a single project. Clicking on charts won't be an appropriate solution in this case - it needs to be table based.

A good example I see many times is from Finance where they have a couple of KPI's from the P&L. They often want to view the underlying level in this case a a more detailed transaction report. If filter contexts could be passed to the drill-through report this would make for a nice fluid experience.

Great news! I would like to see it function a bit like the 'see records' function, except instead of taking you directly to the records, you can define what level in the drill hierarchy it jumps you to a particular page. So this would function at a set level within a drill hierarchy, or if there is no drill hierarchy set, it acts as a hyperlink. Essentially, link a dimension to a page. Use cases might be drilling down through a date hierarchy until you get to day, then going to another page to show hours/minutes etc. as you may want to lay out a 'within the day' page differently to whole days/weeks etc.
We are doing some driver analysis which, once you drill down through regions, areas and depots to get to a particular driver, at that point we'd like to jump to another page showing lots of other things about that particular driver
RE: Drill to a report page
this is a must for a dashboard that has a large program or portfolio of projects. the main dashboard would include high level numbers and graphs on the health of program from schedule to cost to risks to issues. let say there is a tile on the main dashboard showing that there 5 projects that are behind schedule. the user needs to click on that and power bi will take him/her to another report showing a list of those 5 projects with details on those projects like status of the main phases (design, procurement, construction) and then also be able to click on construction to see the main WBS under construction and their status. SSRS and even excel vba can do that which makes very hard for us to introduce Power BI
RE: Drill to a report page
Any updates on this? This is a very useful function in reports, and users found this would be more intuitive In viewing the reports.
RE: Drill to a report page
I would very much like to be able to drill down into a graph, and see the data behind it. My specific need would be something like this.
I have a column graph indicating the number of tickets raised by a customer. Drilling down into a column, which may represent a month for that customer would take me to a table showing the tickets that made up that column.
It would be really nice to have this feature.
RE: Drill to a report page
That would be very useful for our reporting needs. Also, consider the possibility to create links inside a report - make it possible to add a button or image that links to another report page.
RE: Drill to a report page
I would like to be able to provide a Url with all the filters specified within it. Clicking on the url should open up the report with all the filters selected (as specified in the url parameters)
RE: Drill to a report page
Absolute requirement for my kind of reporting
