What about adding input fields to the dashboard widgets. Kind of like the text field but it is enabled for user input. This input field can be used in new column and new measure fields so that once the dashboard is set up the user can easily (without filtering) explore the data by entering different values such as if you had an input box for unit price. Then if you change it all the charts of total sales, revenue, etc. Will update to reflect what would happen if you increase the price by 10%. This will enable people to quickly and easily interrogate the data

Thanks for the feedback! This is something we'd like to get to in the future but don't have any plans for at the moment. We suggest checking out the visual Text filter on AppSource in the interim.

RE: input fields
We will very much like input option to power BI
RE: input fields
I am looking for this input data feature in power BI
RE: input fields
Please add this input user visual. I know this functionality can be achieved using the hypothesis parameter section. However, there is a restriction that prohibits writing numbers outside the range 0 to 1000, and the parameter value will be sampled. url=https://rummybo.com/
RE: input fields
It is possible for users to input/update values using Inforiver. Multiple users can enter data in the same form in reading view and you can write back data to a destination database or shared drive storage.
RE: input fields
Real input fields would be useful for parameter fields. Currently, these are simulated using a slicer. The sliced value is not available in all contexts. I've had a couple of scenarios where a "real" input field may have helped:Using an existing design which had a calculated column, and updating it so the user could explore changing the applied rate. But the selected value of the parameter only appears in measures, while columns get the default value.Having a single input to change the calculation of multiple field parameters. I had a scenario where this would have been useful. I came up with an alternative, but at the cost of some flexibility in what users can choose.
RE: input fields
I don't think Visual text filter is the same as being able to embed form functions. Please add a feature to let dashboard users add or correct data too.
RE: input fields
Please add this input user visuals.I know it is possible to implement partially this feature using the What-if paramers. However, a restriction prevents from writing number outside the range 0 to 1000 and the parameter value will be sampled.
RE: input fields
add a free-text box for search information on pre-selected collumns of a data source.
working as any other filter but instead of making the reader look for the data to filter, he/she inputs the data, which it would fasten the reader to get the information it needs. filtering the dashboard through the input data written by the reader.
