One of the most used features in other tools in this space (including Proclarity/PerformancePoint) that users LOVE is the ability to hover over a visualization and choose to View Details. A window then pops up that allows them to see the underlying details with an export details to Excel option.

RE: Chart View Details with Export to Excel
Great if you publish, but at this time the company is tight with the data going outside the four walls. Would like to do it from the desktop as well.
RE: Chart View Details with Export to Excel
It sounds like MS are planning to introduce a decent Export to Excel type functionality with enough rows and from Desktop... Can anyone point to when this may b available?
RE: Chart View Details with Export to Excel
Same here, need to be able to get the data out of Power BI Desktop to give to people for action.
Without that, it's not replacing Excel, not even for reporting.
RE: Chart View Details with Export to Excel
When will this functionality be added to BI Desktop?
RE: Chart View Details with Export to Excel
Please add this to PowerBI desktop!. Thanks!!
RE: Chart View Details with Export to Excel
There should be a way to export Data from Power BI Desktop as well.
RE: Chart View Details with Export to Excel
Great !! But limit of 10,000 is so restricted.
Since I created inventory balance report with net change for transaction type and balance for total using one measure, exporting only data source is not enough.
Can we export matrix data itself ?
RE: Chart View Details with Export to Excel
The 10.000 row export limit makes it a bit of a 'demo-feature' since most of the datasets we use have way more rows. So, indeed a step in the right direction :)
Furtermore, being able to limit export functions should be included as well since not everyone should be able to export 10k+ rows of precious data.
RE: Chart View Details with Export to Excel
Great !!! But I have the same problem, csv is not separated in cells correctly. I have CZECH localization. Please fix it.
RE: Chart View Details with Export to Excel
Great news but can we somehow set the regional settings in Power BI, the export csv feature does not work very well in a Swedish localization (computer with regional settings).
