What about adding input fields to the dashboard widgets. Kind of like the text field but it is enabled for user input. This input field can be used in new column and new measure fields so that once the dashboard is set up the user can easily (without filtering) explore the data by entering different values such as if you had an input box for unit price. Then if you change it all the charts of total sales, revenue, etc. Will update to reflect what would happen if you increase the price by 10%. This will enable people to quickly and easily interrogate the data

Thanks for the feedback! This is something we'd like to get to in the future but don't have any plans for at the moment. We suggest checking out the visual Text filter on AppSource in the interim.

RE: input fields
I hope this feature is supported soon. My application of it would be to have an 'override' checkbox for an audit report. The report highlight issues for review, which naturally fall off when conditions are corrected. The override box would allow the items to be removed from the report when the row is an exception.
RE: input fields
hopefully, this feature will be supported soon, which is simple but important feature.
RE: input fields
Would love something like this in PBI, one more thing to make it competitive with Tableau.
RE: input fields
In the company we use Spotfire and this functionality is very interesting, since in addition to being able to include the data, it still stores the information in the database, that is, we can retrieve and even compare the information entered.
Great idea when available in POwer bi, because the parameter option does not have this functionality.
RE: input fields
Qlikview has and it comes in handy
RE: input fields
It is available in SAP BO and it is definitely needed in Power BI too
RE: input fields
Definitely needed in Power BI to make it even more powerful and cater to a wider audience of users
RE: input fields
Very much a requested option from all levels of management!~
RE: input fields
Great idea and definetely needed. In my case, I would also suggest to work as a Comment area. For example, in one specific line of data, a user could add a relevant comment to it, in order to allow other users to comprehend something specific.
RE: input fields
This definitely needs to happen, it can make the business case for Power BI to be the only BI solution for an organization.
