Please add Collapse/Expand buttons in the Matrix Visualizations. Otherwise when all fields are expanded by default the user would have to scroll a lot to find what they are looking for. I could add a slicer to take user to the data they are looking for but then the rest of the data in the matrix disappears and more specifically the overall totals change!Expand/Collapse buttons would keep the overall totals as intended and totals for other fields while allowing the user to only expand the field they are interested in. Also ability to do conditional formatting for a specific field in the matrix would be nice. Thanks!

With our November update of Power BI Desktop, you can now expand/collapse matrix row headers. As some of the work involved for column headers is different than row headers, we want to understand how many users specifically need/want column header support as well. I can't believe that. BI tool without pivot table. This is some kind of joke. Bad one.

Absolutely agree. We have thounsand of customers that use pivot tables in Excel.
Graphic charts are great but users want to view and analyze data with a pivot table.
This feature is a must and it is also a strength of the most competitors (Qlik).

Believe or not, thousands of people prefer pivot tables than cool visualisations. I'm working on project where I need to server old school users and new cool users, so having collapse/Expand buttons in matrixes would be awesome. Would appreciate some visibility on roadmap about it.

Our users really like how the show levels feature in the Power View matrix table object works. I hope the Power BI feature is implemented in a similar way

Yes we need full excel pivot table features in PBI for formatting matrix/tables. I know there is a start on this but nothing near as good and ass powerful as excel.
Yes MS will say each tool has its strong points...but whilst users are migrating to PBI they are still not fully confident with visuals and like to see the pivot table view of data
