KPI Red/Yellow/Green Indicators were available in Power Pivot. With the new Power BI Desktop this feature is not available anymore. If you import from PP to the Desktop it converts the RYG Indicator Dots to a number. Will the Red/Yellow/Green Indicators be added back to PowerBI Desktop? If so When?

It's very exciting to be able to close this idea! With the July 2019 release of Power BI Desktop you can now create icon sets that show status indicators, in fact a whole range of icons, in your table and matrix visuals. You can read more in Amanda's blog post here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-july-2019-feature-summary/#iconSets For those of you who want to have the KPI definition stored in the model itself, please vote on this idea for us to track interest there: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200/suggestions/38181139 Thanks for engaging with the ideas forum and helping us build the product you need!

Sharon.Laivand (Admin, Microsoft Power BI): look at all of the feedback based on the "completed" date of May 26. Doesn't Microsoft get it?! Colors are visual indicators. We are not asking for something that has not yet been developed. We are asking for the same KPIs that Power Pivot has the capability of showing with any dataset. YES I am very well aware that I can publish from Excel, but a lot of the data shaping I do is from Power Query within Power BI. I shouldn't have to extract the data back down to Excel to get these KPI indicators, right? So you ask, why don't you begin with Excel and use Power Query there... simple answer: IT is not satisfied that the 64 bit version of Excel is secure - so I am stuck with 32 bit. Power BI 64 bit can handle the dataset whereas the 32 bit version of Microsoft cannot.
Please put this as incomplete as the number of votes will certainly grow!!

I like it! Better conditional formatting tools, better communication through reports!

This would be great! It's basically about using the data's metadata to format them in your reports. Please see an example here: http://www.thebiccountant.com/2016/07/21/easy-profit-loss-account-scheme-reports-power-bi-power-pivot-dax/ and don't forget to vote!

We need at least a "Different id bad" status option

Thank you for getting us the conditional color feature. Based on the majority of the feedback though, it looks like most of us really need the "icon sets" red, yellow, green, grey that are currently in PowerPivot.

I don't know about everyone else, but speaking for myself, bringing down the data from SQL Standard Edition, to PowerPivot and then to PowerBi using Power Query, to have any icon set is quite the process. I am working with Excel 32-bit, as the 64-bit apparently has security issues and PowerPivot bonks with even 20k lines and 20 columns. I feel I am left with a lot of work-arounds to be able to fully maximize the power of PowerBI.

I would also like the value to be text not necessarily numeric
