PowerPoint Export to take into account filters that have been applied to the report prior to export. This is essential for users which need to filter on historic dates and then wish to export the report with those details.

Hello everyone, we’re happy to announce we’ve shipped this long awaited feature - read more about it here on the PowerBI.com blog - https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/end-user-filtered-export-capabilities-now-available/

RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied
Critical functionality for management reporting! What's the timeline on this?
RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied
Its been almost a year since last update on the matter.
Can we please get an update on the status of this feature as it is very crucial to our use of PowerBI?
RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied
It is possible to filter. However, you need to edit and save the report before you export it to PowerPoint. This is a huge pain. Please enable filtering and exporting without saving at first.

What is the status on this? It is really needed ...
RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied
This is something one of our clients asks as well.
They want to distribute sales data to each salesrepresentative.
So at the moment this is not possible?
RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied
Use case: We are using the Apps now and a user would not have the ability to save the report but they would have the ability to set filters, etc. I do think Bookmarks could replace this for the most part but Power Point is nice in the fact that you can add in other visuals outside of power bi and it is not a live connection so you do not have any surprises during the presentation. :-) ...or at least limited surprises. :-)

Agree with the others below. We are about to go live with this and users will need the ability to export their search results in a professional maner for reports they are responsible for. Also want to know where you are on being able to print large filtered tables as shown in Power BI without having to export to Excel and then reformat everything.
RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied
This is essential if you want to take the charts with the data you filter and separate into other presentations. Otherwise we will need to develop separate special reports just to produce the correct data. This needs to be high priority.
RE: Export to PowerPoint with filters applied
The above mentioned survey is closed. This is a critical feature that needs to be functional for our Organization to use PBI. Without the ability to export with chosen filters, the PPT export function is pointless.
