Support SQL Server Geometry/Geography data types in Power BI

The ability to display and create Filled Maps (choropleth) using the native SQL Server geometry/geography data types is a must to allow for meaningful geospatial visualization. e.g. Visualize crimes by police beat.

If there is a way to show data types like sdo_geometry, it will make life a lot easier.

Definitely need improvements to supported spatial data types and spatial querying. I would also like to see changes over time displayed on maps e.g. heatmaps changing colour with the data

Tableau supports Microsoft SQL Server GeoSpatial data types before Microsoft Power BI? What?! Crazy talk... must be an oversight!

I'd be happy with an incremental rollout of this - lines and simple polygons would be an excellent start.

This is now supported by Tableau. Seems like a massive oversight that Microsoft hasn't done this yet.
