The minimum text size in a Table is 8. I could use smaller options for tables that have a lot of data horizontally. Not many columns will fit on a page when you have a few text columns.

In Word online 8 is the minimum selectable value. The difference is that you can manually enter

it's almost been 10 years now.. Who are we, probably not important enough in the eye of microsoft to implement such a small change

This is a real need - why is this not been looked at in more detail ?The ability to set fonts to 6 is a real necessity. If not for default why not allow it to be set for Table data - this would allow better column control

This limitation really hinders my company's ability to use Power BI for investor reporting. It's great for internal reporting, but not pixel perfect like some other BI tools. Fonts less than size 8 are absolutely required as some of my clients want to fit a lot of info on one page.

Please make the minimum font size smaller then 8; I regularly just need the extra space ..

Please add smaller fonts. Too much space taken up by big fonts.

There are always many values to allow basic font size adjustment - sometimes, minimum size can work as a workaround to display less important values.
