In the same way that the Azure portal allows switching between accounts and directories without logging out, the Power BI portal should enable users to switch between accounts and tenants.

Currently the only way to do this is by logging out which is inconvenient and also logs the user out from any Azure Portal sessions currently active.

External (guest) users are used by many business organizations to provide access to external BI developers. The current development experience is extremely poor because the developers cannot publish to the guest tenant via Power BI Desktop and cannot easily switch to the guest tenant in the Power BI Service.

Yes! We need to be able to switch like we do with Azure Portal without having to log out.

Desktop app also needs multi-tenant support. My licensing is in a sub tenant in our org, but desktop won't allow logging into that tenant, only the default one...

March 2023 and the limitation is still there :( I hope this is something that will be added soon. As everyone noted, most MS services provide easy switching between tenants, but Power BI is still behind.

It is important that a tenant switching feature support both B2B scenarios whereI have been invited into my customers tenant as a guest (AAD guest user)I have been given a native user in my customers tenant (AAD member)

Just like in Teams, I'd like to be able to switch the tenant to an organisation where my account has been added as a guest account. It's quite tedious to copy/paste the ctid information and add it to each URL

Allow multiple tenant users to have the ability/option to select the destination tenant when publishing from desktop

It is next to impossible to switch between accounts/tenants in the Power BI mobile client. The user must first log out of the existing account/tenant, and then establish a connection with the different tenant. This is a multi-multi step process.

Contrast this with the multi tenant capabilities of the Teams mobile app, or of Outlook, SharePoint etc. We need better account switching in the Power BI mobile app.

RE: Switch accounts and tenants in the portal in the same way as Azure

As a Power BI consultant I work in different customer tenants daily and I publish reports to these tenants. At this moment I have to sign out in Power BI Desktop and enter an email address and password for the customer's tenant to be able to publish report for this customer. This means that I have to have a use a password manager for saving the credentials and consult it every time I have to switch tenants.
It would be helpful to be able to switch tenants in Power BI Desktop like in Teams and that Power BI Desktop would remember email and password for the tenants I'm working on.
