Thanks everyone for your feedback – We have just released a new Amazon Redshift connector with the Power BI Desktop July Update! This connector is currently in Preview and it allows users to Import data or create a DirectQuery report based on Amazon Redshift data. In future releases, this connector will also be supported in Power BI Service and Gateway for Refresh purposes. Stay tuned! Please take a look at the Update Announcement blog (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-july-feature-summary/) and to this documentation article for more details: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-desktop-connect-redshift/

Yeah this would be critical for us to analyze our clickstream LMS dataset (Canvas). We can do this in Tableau (dare I speak the name).

'+1. We are using Redshift. Not supporting Redshift is an issue because companies will just have to move to solutions such as Tableau for example.

Not having AWS Redshift is a total non-starter. Microsoft, you should know better...

DataDirect has a great redshift driver that performs incredibly well. Try it at www.datadirect.com
