Currently, you can only customize the LAYOUT of the report objects you have created on the MOBILE, organizing the order they will appear on a mobile phone screen.

Most of the time they look BETTER in the original landscape preview than on this MOBILE layout, simply because its very difficult to find a good balance between optimal font size for desktop layout and mobile layout. What looks good in one, usuallly is too much or too little in the other.

Bottonline, we need to be able to have FULL CONTROL of all the design features also for the MOBILE Layout, making them independent from each other.

I agree! The phone view grid is much too limiting right now in how you have to organize your visuals. I run out of real estate very quickly - an example is I had to take out the labels for my dropdowns altogether on phone view because there simply wasn't room. Since there is no default value option for a dropdown currently, now my users have a hard time telling which drop down is which until they press it.

RE: Independent and FULL control for MOBILE VERSION of report

When creating phone reports, we tried to make the process for creating such a report as low friction as possible for customers.
This is why we didn’t create a dedicated formatting pane for phone layout and we are inheriting the desktop canvas definitions.
To further optimize the phone experience – we have created responsive visualizations (currently in preview).
Responsive visualizations optimize the visualization according to the size it’s allowed on canvas – negating the need to create special phone specific visualizations.
You can read more about responsive visualizations preview, its benefit and how it works here:
https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/responsive-visualizations-coming-to-power-bi/
If you still feel that you want to duplicate your visualizations for mobile, a nice workaround would be to leave the ‘visible’ setting at “on” and hide the needed visualization under another visualization in the desktop view.
You can control the position of a visualization using Power BI Desktops ‘visual tools’ menu under the ‘arrange’ tab.
Hope this helps.
Thank you,

RE: Independent and FULL control for MOBILE VERSION of report

It would be great if the Phone layout did not inherit the "visible" property from the desktop layout.

This would allow the designer to make visualisations specific to the phone layout, make this visible = false for the desktop layout but visible = true for the phone layout.

Thus allowing for the design of phone specific visualisations.

As it stands if I make a visualisation hidden in the desktop layout, while I can drag that visualisation into the Phone layout, it appears as hidden and not visisble.

RE: Independent and FULL control for MOBILE VERSION of report

Currently mobile view offers very little in the way of customisation options. I would like to see the following:

An option to change the size of the snap-to grid in the mobile view

Option to change font sizes for tiles/visualisations in mobile view

RE: Independent and FULL control for MOBILE VERSION of report

In order for the mobile layout option to really be of use, it should be decoupled from the desktop layout.

The '2 screens' of space is often not enough to display content at a usable size - the size (height) of a report should be dictated by the content, not the other way around.

So many of the webinars I've seen about design in Power BI opt for using a background image on the report surface - why, oh why would you then use the same image for the mobile background?

Being able to alter the layouts for horizontal and vertical position of the mobile device would also be useful - what works in portrait isn't going to necessarily work in landscape.

Having the ability to create a separate mobile layout is a step forwards - but without proper control, it's a useless step to take.

How about to use background image on mobile view instead of white. Have the ability to put a touch of the company color intead of just background in charts. Like companies background or colors of companies background.
