As we have many data sources from on-prem (SQL Server), it would be great if the Pipeline in Data Factory within Microsoft Fabric can support the on-premise data gateway, so we could integrate data easily from on-prem to Onelake. Otherwise, as the Copy Activity in Fabric seems much easier to use, but we still can't use it properly.

We are shipped on-premises data gateway for data pipeline, check the blog announcement Integrating On-Premises Data into Microsoft Fabric Using Data Pipelines in Data Factory | Microsoft Fabric Blog | Microsoft Fabric

Agree with this. Given that Fabric is now General Availability can you provide a better idea when the support for On Premise Data Gateways will be added? I would have thought this would be part of the GA!Also agree that Incremental refresh is needed, especially important for properly setting up a medallion architecture

This is vital for our Fabric Project to be successful. We're having to use a DataFlow for large data and it not a viable solution. All source data is on-prem SQL.

2 months after the last update - could we please get another?

RE: Support for on-prem connectivity within Pipelines in Fabric

Without a good way to quickly copy on-prem data to Fabric, it limits your potential customer base to people that already are buying Azure services. This really is must-have functionality to get customers who don't currently use Azure to sign up. I've been kicking the tires on Fabric since it was announced - but with no good way to move large amounts of data from on-prem SQL server into Fabric, I'm completely handcuffed. Thanks,Scott

I agree with all the comments, this is essential functionality, and needs to be available as soon as possible.

I second the incremental refresh needed for this as well.

And don't forget the incremental refresh.

Really hoping for this ASAP. Without on-prem SQL connectivity, Fabric is a cute toy. Let's make it a true game changer!

I'd love to be able to use the gateway in in the Pipeline to get to on-prem SQL data. Please allow use of data sources configured in the gateway in pipelines.
