We should have the option to export a visual as an image. Not only raster images such as bmp, jpg or png, but also vectorial metafiles such as wmf, emf and svg.

This is independent from the ability to allow visuals to be pasted onto other applications, which was submitted here: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/11698812-copy-screenshot-of-visual-to-clipboard

The developers should be ashamed of themselves for not having managed to implement such a basic feature in more than 8 years.

RE: Export visual as raster image (bmp, png, jpg/jpeg) or vector/metafile (wmf, emf, svg, eps)

We export specific visuals (not entire PBI pages) to PowerPoint, and the most professional-looking way to do it now is by taking screenshots. The built-in "copy as image with caption" functionality generates much worse quality raster images than a regular screenshot would. It makes PPT slides look like garbage, which you can't present in a work environment. But even screenshots can be faulty because the margins of copied visuals are always different due to the manual nature of taking screenshots. There are workarounds to do this properly by exporting to PDF and then using an SVG editor like Inkscape to crop out the required visuals and save them as SVG... But, when working on dozens of slides per deck, that's just untenable. We need the ability to copy visuals as vector images (or, worst case scenario, as high-quality raster images).

I agree. I need that, as well! It seems a no-brainer this wouldn't be there. While the ability to export and embed visualizations on the web is amazing, this is needed, too.

Such a basic functionality, amazed MS hasn't added yet. Tableau has it - a good reason to use Tableau

Just starting with PowerBI and it's laughable that this is not a capability already!

Definitely a must for reporting.

This is extremely helpful. Others BI tools already have this.

It is a Tableu feature for instance.
