RE: Export to Excel through a subscription
I should not have to create a seperate paginated report for my users just so they can have an excel output sent to them. This is double the work for me as a report writer and harder to maintain to ensure all my data sources have been updated if there is a change.
RE: Export to Excel through a subscription
At this point Microsoft should just call the "Subscribe" functionality a "Reminder" functionality, because that's effectively all it delivers. The UX design for this use case is baffling. Currently users are required to click the link in the email to their report, hover over the table they want to export, click on the tiniest ellipses I have ever seen, click 'Export Data', choose the export type, and then finally click 'Export'. Our company's version of Crystal Reports written in the early 2000s is able to handle this seemingly basic functionality. What gives, Microsoft?

RE: Export to Excel through a subscription
Currently PBI do not support the capability to include an excel report export as an attachment when sending emails as part of subscriptions. This is a critical feature that our report consumers currently have with other BI tools. It will be great if PBI can include excel export option for reports/dashboards when we schedule emails to report consumers after publishing a report/dashboard in PBI service which will allow them to include excel attachment of the report in the email.
Thanks,
Remya
RE: Export to Excel through a subscription
In Email subscription To subscribe more than one page in a report we have full report as an attachment , where the attachment is delivered only either PDF or PowerPoint, it would be more convenient if we can add excel format ,so that we can export data in excel.
RE: Export to Excel through a subscription
This is reporting 101, excel is needed. I don't know anyone that uses PDF by choice when receiving a report. Agree with someone else that mentioned SSRS can do it, Power BI shouldn't have an issue.
RE: Export to Excel through a subscription
Voted. How is it possible that this isn't a default file format?

This cannot come soon enough. Not sure how this isn't possible already
