Provide the ability to restore Service workspaces to a point in time. Would help if someone accidentally deletes content, etc.

Please implement this ASAP. This is very important for backup and restore perspective.

This feature is a fundamental of confident product. How can I trust the environment, where no backup feature, no restore, no export/import functionality for workspace?

This is probably the most important feature you could create at this point. Power BI is the greatest reporting platform I've found, but this is a serious problem that could cost people hours to recover from. Please find a way to make this happen as soon as you possibly can.

I agree with this since other companies are going on to this service and would require this if there's problems with the system. We need solution for backup to companies on-prem or another azure storage/repository.

We are starting to use powerbi and find this product a lot useful.

I agree. This should happen at the workspace level where the admin can backup/download all reports (via checkbox) from the workspaces (without needing to go into each one individually).

This will also greatly simplify the process when a database is migrated to a new server and updates need to be made in each/every report.

It's a must
We are going to spend lots of days redoing the work

Hear Microsoft people. It's on the roadmap ? How are you waiting ?

migrated to Azure AD and lost all my licenses... Now, I have manually redo all of my reports - because I am unable to backup & restore - NO Microsoft, NO! That is not acceptable.

RE: Backup and Restore Points for Workspaces in Service

Yep, happened to me too. Using BI Desktop to publish to the BI service which held all the DB's. Attempted to connect the data source to OneDrive for business for auto refresh from the Excel Workbook. Since I'm self-taught through Lynda.com and school of hard-knocks; this was bound to happen at some point. DANG!

p.s. Does anyone know of a workaround to my issue? maybe I can point the "old" dashboards" to the new data source which happens to be the EXACT same workbook?

This happened (workspace emptied for unknown reason) to us today. Hard to believe that it cannot be recovered.
