How sexy the data looks is sometimes more important than how accurate it is!

I love a light grey/dark grey colour scheme as much as the next person, but it be great to be able to brand the dashboard with the organisation colours/background watermark/logos etc. Maybe offer an option to modify the default CSS used - similar to how blogging sites like blogger allow you to change your page layouts/colours with a simple admin gui or completely change it by rewriting the CSS

Hey everyone - I'm excited to share that we shipped dashboard theming this week: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-dashboard-theming-in-the-power-bi-service/. Give it a try and let us know if you have any feedback! Well, with Power BI, not only keep your data accurate but you can also now make it look - as Jakub originally stated in this idea - sexy. :)

This needs to happen you put a massive amount of effort into getting the formatting just right to add it to a bland dashboard... not great.

Hi, I think it needs to go a bit further. E.g. all my visuals to have borders, all my matrices to be formatted with alternating rows and so on. Nevertheless what's been done so far is helpful.

Just seen your fantastic webinar on how to design visually stunning reports / dashboards in Power BI - but it is a waste of time as I can't change any of the colours on the dashboard itself - poor show Microsoft :(

The most recent response from Admin is in regards to color Themes within reports/dashboards, but from what I've read on this thread is that most people are looking for branding capabilities similar to what is available for SQL Server Reporting Servers and their post "Branding the web portal" that was post two weeks ago.

Customization and formatting in general is a major pain point with Power BI. I hope they can improve this quickly.

Is it possible to get an update on this? Under review for a few years now. If anything can the Dashboard just reflect the original visualization?

Would be nice if I can change the default, then our people can all save the effort to import the json for each new report they create. Then it will be done for them when I deploy the version via App-V

The theming in preview is nice but it doesn't really add anything that couldn't be done manually. Currently if you want a dark background it is impossible to carry that theme through to dashboards. You can have any background colour you like as long as it is white. Given the prevalence of dark themed dashboard tools these day it is surprising that something as simple as changing a background colour cannot be done and yet causes lots of grief due to end user expectations.
