Option to disable sharing from personal workspaces at the tenant level.

RE: Option to disable sharing from personal workspaces
This is a data and security risk that needs to be disabled
RE: Option to disable sharing from personal workspaces
This would be a useful feature at the tenant level. Perhaps the ability to block ability for entire tenant or enable/disable based upon security groups.
RE: Option to disable sharing from personal workspaces
I just learned the hard way that users could share from their personal workspaces. I cannot believe this would be allowed at all, and that there is not already a setting to prevent such a option. Users are bypassing any shared content validation steps and we have no way of stopping them from the system side.
RE: Option to disable sharing from personal workspaces
This is so critical. we need some way of governing what gets propagated around the company and maintain a single source of the truth. It sucks that my only option (which I am now going to have to figure out ) is to get rid of all personal workspaces to keep this from happening. Microsoft needs to think more seriously of the governance aspects of power bi.
RE: Option to disable sharing from personal workspaces
I would love this functionality. At the moment, Pro users can create their own reports (from many unreliable/false/maniupluatable data sources), publish to their workspace and share with others. This creates more than one version of the truth and opens a security gap. Users can create whatever reports they like for their own consumption but should not be allowed to share it with whoever they like. Having a straightforward "disable My Workspace" and/or "disable sharing from My Workspace" would be great! :)
RE: Option to disable sharing from personal workspaces
For continuity of business, the Power BI Admin should have the option to disable sharing internally, externally, or both. Shared content should reside in a dedicated workspace.
RE: Option to disable sharing from personal workspaces
I agree. It would be great if this ability could be disabled in Tenant settings. At the moment it is difficult to control the 'single source of truth' in a implementation scenario in which we work with centralized shared datasets owned by the IT/Data departement and giving the business users self-service abilities meaning business units can build their own reports on top of these centralized shared datasets.
RE: Option to disable sharing from personal workspaces
Completely agree.
Having the ability to share from "personal workspaces" doesn't add any value (at least for those tenant configurations where users can create workspaces freely), and does affect negatively as sharing best practices aren't always followed.
RE: Option to disable sharing from personal workspaces
Option to enable/disable content sharing would enable organisation to secure data sharing and prevent unsolicit sharing of reports.
RE: Option to disable sharing from personal workspaces
We have a lot of pressure from many organizations to prevent report re-sharing from personal workspace. Having this capability would avoids me so many meetings and work to convince enterprises people to adopt Power BI.
