RE: VBA for Power BI Desktop
It will make a huge difference.

RE: VBA for Power BI Desktop
VBA is love, VBA is life.
RE: VBA for Power BI Desktop
When can we voted to incorpórate VBA integration in Power BI?
Thanks in advanced.
RE: VBA for Power BI Desktop
Yes.
I made a VB6 app that used Excel as a calculation engine hidden in the background.
An open Visual Basic library like in the Office suite would mean:
1.You could automate report generation as you would do via manual workflow in SSIS and SSAS for local Excel/tsv/csv files
2. You could also add button features in your reports that could switch between dark/bright themes in your report OR switch graphs with a click! Obviously any VB elements would have to publish to Power BI cloud to be useful!
A great advantage over your competition from Qlik/Tableau.
Phone app dev for IOS and Android has shown as well as power BI visuals; that the community will ALWAYS be able to come up with better ideas than Microsoft or any company might have the time for!
RE: VBA for Power BI Desktop
Yes!!! Please, please, please, add VBA to the Power BI app !!!
RE: VBA for Power BI Desktop
Hi
We are using excel with macros for generating reports and display it in graphical format.
Can we use Power BI to do the same ?
Is it possible to do same and display graph and also can we generate excel output, graphs, multiplae tabs, in webpage?
Thanks

I am an advanced VBA developer, and am considering replacing TIBCO Spotfire with Power BI. Spotfire supports JavaScript, and apparently Power BI down NOT support VBA? Please add VBA to Power BI. It's a make or break for me.
RE: VBA for Power BI Desktop
This is a very useful BI tool. However, it would be more powerful and versatile with the integration of VBA.
