It was implemented in charts but not in tables or matrixes.

We released conditional formatting in tables with our May release of Power BI Desktop. Give it a try and let us know what you think. You can learn more about how to use it in our latest blog post: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-may-update-feature-summary/.

RE: conditional formatting in tables
Hi Will,
I have uploaded a sketch of what I think would be a good interface for formatting tables, which follows the current Power BI UX: http://postimg.org/image/6vy8s9fpz/
It covers what I think it is fundamental table formatting features missing from Power BI.
RE: conditional formatting in tables
I already have reports that have a table sitting over the top of a bar chart trying to achieve this effect...
Hint: it doesn't work very well
RE: conditional formatting in tables
Not only columns and values. There is also a need for formatting by row.
Example each row contains a part number and each column is a location. It would be nice to highlight top 3 values for that row. Or highlight values above row average.
RE: conditional formatting in tables
This is a MUST HAVE!
RE: conditional formatting in tables
Hi, lack of this feature alone could make it hard to sell power BI based dashboard solution to teams. It will be great if you can prioritize and address this soon
RE: conditional formatting in tables
This needs to be done now. How can this still be in the planning stage?
RE: conditional formatting in tables
You need to allow for conditional formatting based on a formula / value. Also allow for grouping / ungrouping of rows / columns by the user. Also greatly increase the color palette. Thanks!
RE: conditional formatting in tables
Any feedback from MS?
RE: conditional formatting in tables
An option should ideally be able to color the individual intersections in a matrix by the values in a separate field. E.g. For high priority intersections, mark the cell background Red, for low mark it yellow, high mark orange, etc.
