This used to be OOTB functionality in previous versions. Why provide the ability to set up recurrences if input dates are not dynamic. Impacts the automation of a number of key business processes across several modules i.e. AP, AR, Asset Leasing, etc eg. Recurring invoices, Asset leasing batched payment schedule journal creation, etc

I think your second comment is the key. A shared cache across CSUs could prevent many unnecessary real time service calls into HQ.

Yes, this would be a great addition! It is possible to do with a workaround from Megan V. Walker, but it is a hassle. It should be an integrated part of CIJ.
