This is a bug. When you have an app with a guid below the app id of the app where the business manager role exists, it will take the first profile it finds based on the app id instead of always using the default profile. It even ignores the fact that a profile is inactive, it just takes the first it finds in table All Profile.

This is an interesting request. One way to deal with this without needing to create a suppression segment is to use 'exit by trigger' for the above use case where you can create a trigger for those that have opted out of the event or responded no to the event and then exit them by using the 'exit by trigger' option.We are coming up with the ability to edit segments that are being used in a live journey in late Q1/Early Q2 2025 - but this would not solve the issue that is highlighted by Tyler above.

This issue is putting us in the position of having to disable requested functionality or reengineer a production integration. Also, 'wrong use of function' is an unhelpful message. If you know the conditions that triggered the error, tell us the reason for the error.
